Gluten Free Hoisin Sauce

One of my quests since embracing this new food lifestyle is to perfect Chinese food to fit my dietary needs.  As you have probably heard me vent before, Chinese food is difficult when you are gluten, corn and soy free, so I was thrilled to find an easy, tasty hoisin sauce recipe that works for my needs.  Thanks to The Gluten Free Lifesaver for the recipe inspiration!




Gluten Free Hoisin Sauce


4 Tbsp Coconut Aminos or GF Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp natural peanut butter (I used "Justin's" Peanut butter)
1 Tbsp honey
2 tsp rice wine vinegar
1 clove minced garlic
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp chili paste (I used Sambal Oelek)


Combine all the ingredients in a blender or a bowl with a burr mixer and blend until smooth!  Store extra in an airtight jar/container in the refrigerator.
